You're Married?

Last night Beth put Ethan to bed.

Ethan: Mommy, do you take that ring off when you go to bed?
Beth: No, I never take it off.
Ethan: Why?
Beth: Well, your daddy gave it to me.
Ethan: Why?
Beth: Because it means that I’m married.
Ethan: You’re married to my dad?!?!?!?!?
Beth: Yep.
Ethan: Does that mean he gets to touch your butt?
Beth: Yes, sometimes your dad touches my butt… but only by accident because he’s so silly.
Ethan: Ohhhhhhhhh (as if it all makes sense now).
