Rhapsody - better than sliced bread.

Better than sliced bread? Sure it is. Being a Jew, I already feel that sliced bread is overrated. Challa should be torn, not sliced.

Enough with the bread! I sit at a computer for 9 hrs a day. I initiate a music change about once a season, and by the time I do that, my playlist is pretty stale. I cannot listen to the Radio due to the monolopy Clear Channel has on the airwaves; they produce garbage.
And I certainly cannot tap into the ALL COUNTRY audio stream that pumps through the office speakers 24-7 (luckily I have a volume control for my desk). So, I engaged Rhapsody, an online music collection, offering access on a subscription basis.

I actually sold Rhapsody at Best Buy when it first came out. I loved it then, but I just didn’t sit at a computer long enough to take advantage of it. Well, now I am the perfect candidate for Rhapsody.

For $100 a year ($25.99 every three months), I can access an extremely thorough database. Obscure artists you’d never image would be included, are there in full effect. Today, I’ve enjoyed so many of my old favorites I can hardly stand it. The interface is pretty user friendly, can be accessed via the web from nearly any location, and allows you to cache songs locally on your hard drive or MP3 player (to speed things up/for portability).

One of my favorite features is the Celebrity Playlist. I can access Mike Patton’s shared playlist. I can actually sit and listen to what he’s listening to. Very cool.

If you’re at a computer all day, this is a must.
