NPR: National Public Radio

This is the audio norm for me while in the car these days. The news it the most balanced I’ve found, the shows are entertaining, in-depth, and unique, and the humor is intellectual (well, except for Car Talk :). I am became a member last year, making a contribution to the program. It is great radio and somebody’s got to pay for it.

NPR has been my friend for about four years, and I feel MUCH more in tune with the world around me when I’m listening to it. You can listen to it online if you’re at a desk all day, and many of the shows are podcasted. Listen for a week and see what you think. Tip: Don’t pick the week of the semi-annual fund drive to listen for your first time. You will be utterly confused.
