Ethan decided this morning that he wanted to make a video and send it to Aunt Melanie, but it’s just not fair for one aunt to enjoy the entertaining fruits. These bands transcend situational or emotional conditions (i.e. listening to when I’m sad, working out, on a road trip, in the bathroom, doing homework, etc.), although those lists could possibly come around. So here goes (in ascending order)…
As an afterthought, an idea that my wife and I discuss occasionally, is that I tend to hear the music in songs and not the lyrics. She hears the lyrics, memorizes them, knows the essence of the song, etc. I don’t even know the lyrics to some of my favorite songs. Unless I listen to the songs with headphones or make a real effort to hear them, my brain interprets the vocals as an instrument, rather than real words. And I always feel the bass.
